I would like to dedicate this post to the relationship between Mercury retrograde in Pisces and our zodiac sign. In my previous post I explained how this upcoming Mercury in retrograde may signify unusually emotional and compassionate, albeit vague and confusing, communications but also extraordinarily imaginative and creative ideas. Therefore, in this post, as well as in the next one, I will explain how each zodiac sign is expected to incorporate these energies. Following the tradition of my blog related to starting from Pisces and moving clockwise in the zodiac, this post will cover Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Scorpio and Libra, whereas the next one will cover Virgo, Leo, Cancer, Gemini, Taurus and Aries. I remind you that Mercury will be retrograde in the sign of Pisces from March 23rd until April 3rd; nevertheless, it will be transiting the same sign in direct motion from February 15th to March 2nd and from April 3rd to April 16th.
This means that, with the exception of three weeks (starting on March 2nd and ending on March 23rd) when Mercury will be in Aries (click here to read more about Mercury direct and retrograde in Aries), our communications, transportations and commercial dealings will be pretty much emotional, imaginative and rather vague and confusing in the majority of the time between February 15th and April 16th. Furthermore, the areas of life that will be affected by this Mercurian transit will be the same for most of the time between February 15th and April 16th. These areas are explained in more detail below for each zodiac sign.
If, as I suspect, you’re only interested to read about your personal zodiac sign (or the sign of your loves ones), please scroll down until you find it. Each paragraph is devoted to a different sign, Pisces coming first, Aquarius second, Capricorn third, and so on. If you’re not quite sure under which zodiac sign you were born, you will notice the start and end dates of each sign being depicted in brackets next to the name of the corresponding sign. Please also note the following two things: a) If you’re born on the cusp between two adjacent zodiac signs (e.g., April 20th, which would be the end of Aries and the beginning of Taurus), you might find it useful to read both signs and b) you might find it equally useful to read the sign of your Ascendant as well. For example, someone who was born on May 21st and has Scorpio ascending (like me!) would get more out of reading the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Scorpio.
Pisces (February 19 – March 19)
Transiting your first natural house, which has to do with one’s self, body, wellbeing, health, self-image, outer appearance, self-development and autonomy, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in communications and transactions that revolve around yourselves and your outer appearance, health and self-development, but you may also evince an extraordinary degree of imagination regarding these same issues. You may even be motivated to show an unusual degree of emotionality in communications and transactions connected to yourselves and to your desire to be independent and autonomous. On a more psychological level, you may notice an unusual motivation to learn about dreams, art, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things. In any case, this is definitely a great time to consolidate your knowledge and appreciate your intelligence, but you may also have to face some delays and setbacks before you can get others to truly understand and appreciate your opinions and intelligence.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Transiting your second natural house, which is related to material security, personal resources and sense of personal worth, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues above. For instance, you may receive salary or money you had lent later than expected, or there may be endless confusion and misunderstandings with regard to money you earn or spend. Another possibility is that you come up with unusually imaginative ideas to make money or that you notice an unusual motivation to spend money on getting to know more about art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things. You may even be motivated to evince an unusual degree of emotionality and compassion in your financial communications and transactions. On a more psychological level, you may notice a tendency to derive self-esteem and personal worth from thinking and communicating in unusually emotional and compassionate ways, on the one hand, and in developing an unusual interest in art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things, on the other hand.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Transiting your third natural house, which has to do with learning, schooling, communicating and relating with neighbours and close relatives, such as siblings, cousins, uncles and nephews, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your learning and educational activities, as well as in your communications with neighbours and close relatives, in your short-distance travelling and commercial dealings. However, you may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with schoolmates, teachers, neighbours and close relatives. You may even be motivated to evince an unusual degree of imagination in any activities that require primarily mental skills. Nevertheless, be careful because, although imagination can be great in the arts, it can even be dangerous in activities such as driving!! On a more psychological level, it seems that your mind thinks in unusually compassionate ways and that you are highly interested in learning more about art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Transiting your fourth natural house, which has to do with parents and grandparents (usually the father and grandfather), family, private life and the past, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications with family members and in home-related transactions and commercial dealings. On the other hand, it may be a time where you experience an unusual need to find out or to talk about things concerning your past or your homeland. You may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with or about the father or other family members, while you may be motivated to evince an extraordinary degree of imagination at home, decorating perhaps. On a more psychological level, it appears that you will find inner peace and security in thinking and communicating in unusually compassionate and emotional ways, on the one hand, and in developing an unusual interest in art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things, on the other hand.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Transiting your fifth natural house, which has to do with children, love affairs, sports, gambling and any creative or other joyful pursuit, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications with children and romantic partners or in your transactions concerning sports, gambling, hobbies and other creative or artistic activities. You may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with the people or about the issues mentioned above. You may even evince an extraordinary degree of imagination in sports, gambling and any artistic or other creative pursuits. On a more psychological level, you may notice an unusual desire to be noticed and recognised for your knowledge and communications about art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things; nevertheless, you may have to face some delays and setbacks before you can enjoy the recognition and appreciation you are looking for.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Transiting your sixth natural house, which has to do with work, health, duties, daily routines, colleagues and employers, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications and transactions with colleagues, employers and even practical caretakers, such as plumbers and electricians, but you may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with these same people. You may even be motivated to evince an extraordinary degree of imagination in your communications and transactions regarding your work and daily routines. For instance, it is possible that you start to use in your professional activities knowledge related to arts, dreams, religion or spirituality. On a more psychological level, any illnesses or other health problems that you may have to deal with during this period will seem to have originated in preoccupation and anxiety over a) delays and obstacles in communications, transportations, educational activities and commercial transactions or b) over the unusual degree of emotionality related to these communications and transactions.
