On September 30th at 3:22 am, GMT, there is a Full Moon on
the 7th degree of Aries. This is one of the most explosive Full
Moons of the year, because it activates negatively the dynamite-aspect between
Uranus and Pluto; an aspect which will be active until 2015 and which heralds
radical changes in our world and society! Before going into the meaning of this
Full Moon, let us first examine what a Full Moon generally symbolizes. When
there is a Full Moon, the Moon is located right across the Sun; consequently,
the Spirit, which is symbolized by the Sun, and the Soul, which is symbolized
by the Moon, oppose each other. In other words, our emotional needs (Moon) are
at odds with our desire for creativity, self-development and self-fulfillment
(Sun), which results in emotional tension and outbursts. Furthermore, every
Full Moon takes place approximately two weeks after a New Moon, that is, after
a new beginning that we made on a personal or collective level. So, the
function of the Full Moon is to remind us that there can be no future (Sun)
unless we respect our past (Moon). Ideally, every Full Moon calls for
re-evaluation of the new beginning that we made at the previous New Moon, so
that we can tie up any loose ends.
This coming Full Moon on September 30th takes place on the 7th
degree of Aries and participates in the T-Square that occurs between the Sun,
Pluto and Uranus. Let us note that there is also a second T-Square between Venus,
Mars and Neptune. What does this all
mean though? Firstly, all T-Square aspects carry with them a great deal of
tension, which is of course exacerbated under a Full Moon. More specifically,
the Libra Sun will shed a light onto the importance of our relationships,
especially romantic ones. Nevertheless, the opposing Moon in Aries in tight
conjunction with Uranus may make for an intense need for us to rebel with the
aim of asserting ourselves and claiming that which we consider our own.
However, such a revolutionary mood may put important relationships at
serious risk, which though might be necessary for us to be able to rejuvenate
these relationships by exposing and removing anything that is putrid in them;
this seems to be the message of Pluto’s square with the Sun, the Moon and
Uranus. The possibility of the risk mentioned above is especially high for the
long-suffering signs of the Cardinal Cross (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn)
and particularly for those born approximately one week after the beginning of
these signs. This is also true for anyone with angles (ascendant or midheaven)
or planets near the 7th degree of these same signs.
In line with what I said earlier, this Full Moon occurs with Venus, the
planet of relationships and material goods, in an aspect of tension with Mars
and Neptune. Unfortunately, this aspect carries much potential for
over-valorization (Venus) of violence (Mars) and victimization (Neptune). It
may thus be likely that relationships and material goods are quickly
sacrificed, perhaps by means of violence. Alternatively, it is likely that some
of us will be quick to think that they have found their ideal partner (Mars in
square aspect with Venus/Neptune), which, however, might lead quite easily to
disappointment once reality hits (Neptune in trine aspect with the
Saturn/Mercury conjunction). All these possibilities are all the more relevant
for those born at the end of the signs that belong to the Fixed Cross (Taurus,
Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) or in the beginning of the signs that belong to the
Mutable Cross (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). Equally affected are those
with angles or planets on the last degrees of the fixed signs and the first
degrees of the mutable signs.
On a mundane level, every Full Moon carries the potential of behaving
like a tight rope, with governments (Sun) and peoples (Moon) on opposite ends. Therefore,
it seems that this Full Moon places at center stage the revolutionary and
fighting mood of the peoples against their leaders (Moon in conjunction with
Uranus in Aries in opposition to the Sun). In turn, the leaders seem to be aiming
at maintaining a peace that respects their power (Libra Sun and Leo Venus in
mutual reception). Nevertheless, this power may very well be imposed by means
of force or deceit, while it might also be that the expression of their power
becomes the reason for incidents of violence for religious reasons (T-Square
between Venus-Mars-Neptune). Of course, let us not forget that the catalyst of
the revolutionary mood of the peoples appears to be the very decay of the
financial and political system (Pluto in Capricorn in square aspect with the
Sun and the Moon).
One can easily see examples of all of the above in a series of events,
ranging from the violent repression of demonstrations in Spain and Hellas
against the extreme austerity measures and the political corruption to the
vehement Muslim revolts against the film that mocked Mohammed and the protests of the
Chinese people against the territory claims made by Japan. In line with my past
writings, Pluto in Capricorn is a harbinger of crisis in the greatest financial
powers of this world, that is, the United States, the European Union and Japan;
this Full Moon lends ample support to my writings, given that the Muslims are
protesting against the Americans; the Chinese are protesting against the
Japanese; the Greeks and the Portuguese are protesting the unbearable austerity
measures required by the European Union, the European Central Bank and the International
Monetary Fund. The outcome of the clash between the peoples and their
governments around the world is not known yet. What is known, however, is that
the war between the “warriors of Light” (Uranus in Aries) and the “governments
of Darkness” (Pluto in Capricorn) will continue until 2015… We wish for the
former to be victorious!
