On June 20th
2016 at 11:02am, GMT, there is a Full Moon in the freedom-loving, far-ranging
and optimistic sign of Sagittarius which of course implies that the Sun is in
the opposite sign of Gemini. Every Full Moon calls for us to strike the right
balance between two opposing forces which, presently, form a dilemma between
learning (Gemini) and teaching (Sagittarius), disbelief (Gemini) and faith
(Sagittarius), gathering (Gemini) and disseminating information (Sagittarius)
as well as between short-distance (Gemini) and long-distance travelling
(Sagittarius).
Moreover,
with the Full Moon axis on the very last degree of the Gemini-Sagittarius axis,
it seems that the above dilemmas have an extreme or compulsive streak to them
whereby periods of an excessive need for faith, teaching, dissemination of
information and long-distance travelling (anaeretic Moon in Sagittarius) will
be followed by periods of excessive attachment of importance to questioning,
learning, information-gathering and short-distance travelling (anaeretic Sun in
Gemini).
To be sure,
due to the mutability of the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, the above dilemmas will
be relatively easy to resolve through high mobility and many discussions
regarding the conflict between dreams and reality as evidenced by the mutable
grand cross between Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune. After all, the Sun conjunct
Betelgeuse, the star on Orion’s right shoulder, seems to promise uncomplicated
success for the above discussions and negotiations as long as one is willing to
leave their wounds behind and accept that there are many things beyond their
control (Chiron in Pisces atop a separating T-Square with the Full Moon axis)
and as long as they don’t allow extreme patriotic or family values to get in
the way of these discussions (Venus out-of-bounds in Cancer conjunct the Sun).
The murder
of British MP Jo Cox, only four days before the current Full Moon, by a man
that is alleged to a be a far-right extremist constitutes a real-life example
of how far one can go for their values and principles… Caution is therefore
needed in how one manages their anger and aggression, as also evidenced by Mars
in Scorpio who’s still retrograde and virtually unaspected. We hope that, if
anything, this Full Moon will make you think!
