On December 3rd 2017 at 3:46pm,
GMT, there is a Full Moon taking place across the intellectual axis of
Gemini-Sagittarius and, just like it happens with every Full Moon, this one too
calls for us to strike the right balance between opposing forces. Presently,
these forces are related to learning (Gemini) and teaching (Sagittarius), logic
(Gemini) and faith (Sagittarius), short-distance (Gemini) and long-distance
(Sagittarius) travels, as well as collection (Gemini) and dissemination
(Sagittarius) of information. The balancing act between these pairs of
opposites peaks under this Full Moon and causes a chaotic amount of activity in
terms of communications and travels, in line with Neptune being atop a mutable
T-Square where the Full Moon axis is involved.
Furthermore, given that the Full Moon’s
dispositor, Mercury, is anaeretic in Sagittarius, out of bounds and stationary
retrograde, one can safely assume that there is an urgent need to revise or
consolidate original and extreme ideas that have been expressed in the past few
weeks regarding issues that have to do with the law, religion, education or
travel. It goes without saying that it won’t be until after Mercury goes back
in direct motion from Dec 22nd onwards that these ideas are
consolidated and any revisions are put in place. Additionally, Mercury’s conjunction
with Saturn reveals the weight and the importance of these ideas and revisions,
but the simultaneous square from Chiron, who is about to go back in direct
motion, highlights a sense of weakness and brings to mind incidents that occurred
late June reminding us that “the pen is mightier than the sword”.
Sudden releases of
anger will also be on the agenda, as the Mars-Uranus opposition suggests, and
will cause further irritation given that this opposition along with the Full
Moon axis creates a hard rectangle, a planetary pattern that involves several
tensions and frictions. Nevertheless, realistic thinking and methodical
communications (Mercury-Saturn) can work as a safety valve for these tensions
and can create opportunities for fresh actions and original initiatives (Mercury-Saturn
atop an ambivalence triangle with Mars-Uranus). Finally, Venus, albeit in a
lonely semi-square aspect with Pluto, has left Scorpio’s darkness and has now
entered Sagittarius. Thus, one can be more generous and optimistic in relations
and financial transactions despite any obstacles and despite this general sense
of fluidity that characterizes the present Full Moon given the mutable
emphasis. In any case, we wish you enjoy the Full Moon!
