On 18 May 2019, at
9:11pm, GMT, there is a Full Moon taking place across the fixed axis of
Taurus-Scorpio, with the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio. Similarly to
any Full Moon, this one too calls for us to strike the right balance between
two opposing forces. This axis is considered the axis of survival and as such it
raises questions about our ability to survive and cope with the adversities of
life. It is also the axis that calls for us to balance between matter (Taurus)
and sentiment (Scorpio), sense (Taurus) and intuition (Scorpio), security
(Taurus) and crisis (Scorpio).
Auxiliary to the above balancing act is the sextile between Venus and Mars, the dispositors of the Lights. In addition, Venus is now in the sign of her dominion (Taurus), and Mars - while still out of bounds - is in mutual reception with the Moon. Therefore, things seem to fall into place in terms of relationships, co-operations, activities and emotional needs even if the solutions are rather "unorthodox" and "inventive". This is also the message of the learning trine between Venus/Uranus, Mars and Chiron in combination with the activation of the Chiron/North Node and Saturn/Chiron midpoints by the Lights.
Finally, the complete absence of the element of air along with Mercury’s conjunction with the fixed star Capulus, on the sword of Perseus, reminds us that avoiding or suppressing the need for communication could lead to acrimonious conversations where the pen is revealed to be “mightier than the sword”. The occasion for such communications may be given when one needs to learn - in a rather difficult way - how to make the substance of one’s ideas to keep up with both their ideals and the established rules (Jupiter = Mercury/Saturn in an inverse learning trine with Saturn and Neptune). In any case, we wish you enjoy the Full Moon!
