On January 24, 2020, at 9:41 pm, GMT, there is
a New Moon taking place in the subversive, innovative and liberal sign of
Aquarius. It is the first New Moon of the year and follows the January 10 lunar
eclipse, which had an unexpected and unpredictable influence especially on issues
of structure, hierarchy and security. Although unexpected events may still
happen, it is clear that they are largely a thing of the past, in line with the
separating square that the Lights form with Uranus. In fact, with all the
planets in direct motion - a relatively rare occurrence during the year –
things seem to speed up and green light shows for a number of issues.
Thus, with the New Moon in Aquarius it seems that
a breath of fresh air enters the lives of many, especially on issues related to
the need for innovation and freedom. At a more general level, the issues that
are now unblocked can be social, political, scientific and technological. In
fact, original ideas and new channels of communication allow for more freedom of
action so that one’s voice can reach as far as possible, as witnessed by
Mercury in Aquarius sextile Mars in Sagittarius. However, Venus, in harsh aspects
with both Mercury and Mars, meets Neptune in Pisces, bringing together some
obstacles due to ambiguities and confusion in relationships, partnerships and
financial transactions. In addition, the fact that Venus is at the degree where
Mercury will turn retrograde on February 17 reveals that the New Moon is
gradually creating financial issues that may not be resolved until after mid-March.
Finally, the close activation of the Mercury /
Saturn midpoint by the Lights speaks of new professional or important
agreements and negotiations and the signing of contracts that promise profound
benefits as long as one is ready for radical change (Pluto = Moon / Jupiter = Sun/Jupiter).
In any case, we wish you enjoy the New Moon!
