On October 16, 2020, at 7:30 pm GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in the harmonic and diplomatic sign of Libra. Like any New Moon, this one too marks a new beginning in that area of one's horoscope where it happens to occur. Due to the zodiac sign, this new beginning concerns issues of relationships and collaborations, as well as legal issues, and aims at more harmony and justice. Spica’s participation is a very good omen for success in the above but the positive result won’t be seen until later in the year. The reason has to do both with the converging square that the Lights receive from Saturn and with the retrograde motion of Mercury and Mars, the latter of which opposes the Lights.
More specifically, the Mars-Lights opposition turns into a cardinal T-Square with the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto-in-Capricorn stellium at its apex. Simply put, the current New Moon is heavily charged by the urgent need to take military action for justice against callous state forces that adopt what, in many of our previous writings, we have called the "doctrine of terror". In fact, the Venus-Neptune opposition is facilitated by the Capricorn stellium, which intensifies the submission of many to the doctrine of terror by reiterating the idea that satisfaction of desires and dreams largely depends on compliance with the said doctrine.
In addition, the unaspected Mercury-Uranus opposition reminds us of a cauldron boiling hot with rebellion and the need for overthrow, but one that is still unable to effectively diffuse the tension and heat. After all, the retrograde motion of both Mercury and Mars does not favor the externalization of anger and revolt. Those two will be found direct again at the same place, on November 19 (Mercury) and on December 14 (Mars), on the day of the solar eclipse, so it won’t be until afterwards that the result of sharpening our knives will be felt… In any case, we wish you a Happy New Moon!
