Neptune in Pisces in Relation to our Zodiac Sign: Part I

Just like I promised, I dedicate this post, as well as the next one, to the relationship between Neptune in Pisces and our zodiac sign. Following my previous posts where I explained how each zodiac sign was expected to incorporate Mercury’s energies by starting from Pisces and moving clockwise in the zodiac, I thought I should keep up with this and make it a sort of ‘tradition’! I remind you that Neptune will go into retrograde motion from June 2011 until February 2012, during which time this planet will transit Aquarius as well. This means that what I write in the present post and the next one will be mostly felt until the summer and then again from this coming winter onwards.

If, as I suspect, you’re only interested to read about your personal zodiac sign (or the sign of your loves ones), please scroll down until you find it. Each paragraph is devoted to a different sign, Pisces coming first, Aquarius second, Capricorn third, and so on. If you’re not quite sure under which zodiac sign you were born, you will notice the start and end dates of each sign being depicted in brackets next to the name of the corresponding sign.

Please also note the following two things: a) If you’re born on the cusp between two adjacent zodiac signs (e.g., April 20th, which would be the end of Aries and the beginning of Taurus), you might find it useful to read both signs and b) you might find it equally useful to read the sign of your Ascendant as well. For example, someone who was born on May 21st and has Scorpio ascending (like me!) would get more out of reading the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Scorpio.

This post covers the following signs: Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Scorpio and Libra. My next post will cover the six remaining signs: Virgo, Leo, Cancer, Gemini, Taurus and Aries.

Pisces (February 19 – March 19)

Transitting your first natural house, which has to do with one’s self, body, wellbeing, vitality, health, self-image, outer appearance and self-development, Neptune in Pisces may reflect low vitality and energy or a confusing relationship with the body such that our Piscean friends may have trouble understanding what exactly is wrong with it at times. Neptune in Pisces may also bring a great longing for self-development or even for elaborating a highly ‘glamorous’ look, given Neptune’s association with glamour. On a more psychological level, our Piscean friends may notice that the following tendencies become highly motivating for them: a) faith in spirituality, mysticism, and the interconnectedness of all things, b) ideals related to unconditional giving, compassion, empathy, altruism, higher service and caring for the poor and the mistreated, c) acts of selflessness and sacrifice, d) dreaming ‘big’ and e) longing for escaping reality. Having said all this, I trust that our Piscean friends are already very well acquainted with all of the above, given the fact that Neptune rules their sign!

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Transitting your second natural house, which is related to material security, personal resources and sense of personal worth, Neptune in Pisces may reflect a confusing relationship with money, as well as with personal income, resources and belongings. For instance, our Aquarian friends may feel that money or other material resources are constantly slipping through their fingers! It further seems that ideals related to compassion and altruism, as well as faith in mysticism, become part of their spiritual values, which will then be reflected in the way they handle their material values too. For example, our Aquarian friends may attach infinitely symbolic meanings to their possessions, the body included. Another possibility is that they decide to make or invest money in charity organisations, spirituality, photography, the cinema or the sea. On a more psychological level, our Aquarian friends may base their self-esteem on acting in a selfless and unconditional manner, on dreaming ‘big’, and on longing for escaping reality. Care is needed, however, that they don’t lose their self-esteem altogether, or, on the contrary, that they don’t get grandiose ideas about themselves!

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Transitting your third natural house, which has to do with learning, communicating and relating with neighbours and close relatives, such as siblings, cousins, uncles and nephews, Neptune in Pisces may reflect infinite confusion in the issues and relationships just mentioned. For instance, our Capricornian friends may experience confusion and misunderstandings in their learning and educational activities, as well as in their communications with neighbours and siblings and in their short-distance travelling. Neptune in Pisces may also bring a heightened interest in learning and communicating about faith in spirituality, mysticism and the interconnectedness of all things, as well as about ideals related to unconditional giving, altruism, selflessness and sacrifice. It may further be that our Capricornian friends notice that it is their schoolmates, teachers, neighbours and siblings who become more spiritual, religious, compassionate and altruistic. On a more psychological level, it seems that our Capricornian friends’ minds will start to work in a highly imaginative and artistic manner, which however may be accompanied by lack of concentration or muddled thinking at times.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Transitting your fourth natural house, which has to do with parents (usually the father), family, private life and the past, Neptune in Pisces may reflect endless confusion in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, our Sagittarian friends may experience confusing relationships with family members and the father in particular. It may also be a time where family members or the father develop faith in spirituality and become much more compassionate and altruistic. A further possibility is that family members experience a great longing for escaping reality and for dreaming ‘big’. It may also be a time where our Sagittarian friends seek to escape reality themselves by being nostalgic, hence by dwelling in the past. On a more psychological level, it appears that our Sagittarian friends will find inner peace and security in spirituality, compassion, higher service, selflessness and escapism. For some of them, however, it may be a period where they feel uprooted or as if they don’t quite belong, possibly because of having to leave their home or because of family members leaving the home.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Transitting your fifth natural house, which has to do with children, love affairs, sports, gambling and any creative or other joyful pursuit, Neptune in Pisces may reflect endless confusion in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, our Scorpio friends may have confusing relationships with their children and romantic partners; it may also be that they see their children and romantic partners as ways to escape reality or as people to whom they could easily channel their compassion, empathy, kindness and unconditional giving. Further means of escaping reality during Neptune’s transit through Pisces will be sports, gambling, hobbies and other creative or artistic activities. On a more psychological level, our Scorpio friends may have a desire to be noticed and recognised for any of the following: a) their faith in spirituality, mysticism, and the interconnectedness of all things, b) their ideals related to unconditional giving, compassion, empathy, altruism, higher service and caring for the poor and the mistreated, c) their acts of selflessness and sacrifice, d) their big dreams and e) their longing for escaping reality.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Transitting your sixth natural house, which has to do with work, health, duties, daily routines, colleagues and employers, Neptune in Pisces may reflect infinite confusion in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, our Libra friends may experience confusing relationships with colleagues, employers and even practical caretakers, such as plumbers and electricians, but they may even show greater compassion, empathy and altruism towards those same people. Neptune in Pisces may also bring a great longing for escaping work, duties and daily routines or for escaping reality via working and attending to the small things in life, which may sound like a contradiction in terms! It may also be that our Libra friends manage to integrate their work with their faith in spirituality and mysticism. They may further experience low vitality and energy levels, or they may feel that their health keeps faltering. On a more psychological level, any illnesses or other health problems that our Libra friends may have to deal with during this period will seem to have originated in extreme selflessness and sacrifice or in unhealthy escape routes, such as addiction to alcohol.
