On July 28, 2022, at 5:55pm GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in the fiery, enthusiastic and generous sign of Leo. Like every New Moon, this one too prompts us to make a fresh start in that area of one's horoscope where it happens to fall. Due to the sign’s nature, initiatives related to creativity, entertainment and self-promotion are favored. In fact, the only aspect that the Lights receive is a trine from Jupiter who is about to go retrograde.
Therefore, this New Moon creates a sense of urgency because time seems to be running out if one wants to travel, have fun, experience some adventure or do something that improves one's prospects in life. Especially when it comes to trips, those involving destinations that are more distant are even more favored. Additionally, this New Moon greatly favors personal growth, expansion and creativity, personal pursuits in general as well as the opportunity to start over with all the excitement, optimism and joy this entails (trine Jupiter in Aries).
There is, however, another side to the coin that this New Moon is about: moves, initiatives and actions that come like a lightning strike upsetting or even overturning the material security and routine of many people (Mars in Taurus conjunct Uranus and the Lunar North Node). The reason for these tumultuous and disruptive or explosive actions and developments has to do with a general atmosphere of dysfunction affecting communications, travel, educational activities and commercial transactions (Mercury-Saturn opposition as basis for T-Square).
