New Moon in Virgo: Anxiety or Optimism?

On August 27, 2022, at 8:17am, GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in the earthy, practical and methodical sign of Virgo. Like every New Moon, this one too prompts us to make a fresh start in that area of one's horoscope where it happens to fall. Due to the sign’s nature, favored are those beginnings that concern work, health, order and everyday life. Given, in fact, that the current New Moon is the first one that takes place after Mars’ ingress into Gemini, where Mars will remain for seven months, any new beginnings will keep us occupied for quite some time.

After all, with Mercury, the New Moon’s dispositor, set to go retrograde in two weeks' time, it is almost certain that any ideas, communications and negotiations that take place near this New Moon will need to be reviewed or reconsidered. Two relevant important dates will be September 22 and October 12, when Mercury will be on the same degree, in retrograde and direct motion, respectively. Postponements and delays, therefore, are to be expected despite Virgo’s love for program and predictability. Of course, Uranus, which has just turned retrograde, does not help with planning, but allows, instead, for more freedom and excitement.

In addition, the critical degree, ruled by Venus, where the New Moon takes place, also in square with Mars, seems to create anxiety, insecurity and potential conflicts in relationships and collaborations. The reason may have to do with sudden financial burdens or strange conditions that need to be met for a relationship or partnership to go on (Venus in T-square with Saturn-Uranus). However, solutions can be found and a certain balance can be achieved, despite any feelings of anxiety, thanks to a pervasive spirit of cooperation and adaptability that will allow many to face difficulties with intelligence, faith, optimism and hope (Mercury in Libra trine Mars, Mercury= Jupiter/Neptune).

So, which of the two coping mechanisms will you choose? Anxiety or optimism?
