2012 Predictions by zodiac sign: Part II

Following from my previous post, this one will also focus on some of the insights that we can get from the stars regarding the ways in which 2012 could unfold in relation to our zodiac sign. Following the tradition of my blog related to starting from Pisces and moving clockwise in the zodiac, this post will cover Scorpio, Libra, Virgo and Leo whereas the next one will cover Cancer, Gemini, Taurus and Aries. The main astrological indicators that I will focus on are the transits of Jupiter and Saturn, although I will take into account transits of the faster moving planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) as well as those of the slower moving planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Jupiter will remain in the sign of Taurus until June 11th 2012 and will then move to Gemini where it will stay until June next year. On the other hand, Saturn won’t change signs until October 5th 2012 at which time it will leave Libra for good in order to enter Scorpio and stay there for 2.5 years. Concerning the slower moving planets, Pluto and Uranus will remain in Capricorn and Aries, respectively, whereas Neptune will change signs for good on February 3rd in order to return to its natural ‘habitat’, that is, Pisces.

If, as I suspect, you’re only interested to read about your personal zodiac sign (or the sign of your loves ones), please scroll down until you find it. Each paragraph is devoted to a different sign, Scorpio coming first, Libra second, Virgo third, and so on. If you’re not quite sure under which zodiac sign you were born, you will notice the start and end dates of each sign being depicted in brackets next to the name of the corresponding sign. Please also note the following two things: a) If you were born on the cusp between two adjacent zodiac signs (e.g., April 20th, which would be the end of Aries and the beginning of Taurus), you might find it useful to read both signs and b) you might find it equally useful to read the sign of your Ascendant as well. For example, someone who was born on May 21st and has Scorpio ascending (like me!) would get more out of reading the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Scorpio.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

This year will probably be a fairly good year for you, although those of you who were born between October 23rd and November 2nd will start to feel particularly pressurized because of Saturn being conjunct with your Sun from October 5th onwards. Let’s start from the beginning though. The first six months of 2012 will be marked by Jupiter’s transit through your seventh natural house. This means that you may encounter (or have already encountered!) luck in your romantic relationships and business partnerships. For instance, a new relationship may start, an existing one may improve or you may even find yourselves liberated from a relationship that no longer works. Getting married or divorced is a further possibility. A little bit of care though is needed until June because Jupiter will be opposing your Sun; although this transit can bring many opportunities for growth, you will have to make sure that you don’t become overoptimistic or overindulgent. That having been said, Mars, your traditional ruler, will be transiting your 11th house until July 3rd, which will probably help you set modest and concrete goals for your future.

From 11th June onwards Jupiter will be in your eighth natural house, which may bring benefits from people you share resources with or from people who deal with money belonging to others, such as bankers, tax officers, insurance agents and stoke brokers. Thus, you may receive a lucky inheritance, a tax relief or a favourable loan, while liberating yourselves from debts and making financial investments are further possibilities. Deepening the levels of intimacy you share with a love partner and delving into the depths of your psyche are also greatly favoured from 11th June onwards.

For those of you born between October 23rd and November 2nd things will start to change significantly from October 5th onwards because of Saturn entering Scorpio. Saturn being conjunct with your Sun generally assigns some important burden on your shoulders, which can be very positive but also very stressful and cumbersome! For instance, receiving a promotion or new responsibilities at work; having to take care of your parents because of old age or becoming a parent yourself; getting a mortgage, getting married or achieving higher prestige; these are only few of the things that might occur from October 5th onwards. In any case, this is a time where you reap the fruits of your labour, which implies that the wiser you’ve been in the past years, the more positive this time will feel.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

With Saturn still transiting your sign, with Uranus opposing your sign and with Pluto transiting a sign that is in natural conflict with yours, this year is bound to be quite challenging for you! More specifically, with Uranus opposing your Sun those of you who were born between September 23rd and October 2nd will probably have to deal with situations that upset you or with people who behave in unexpected and perhaps irritating ways. For instance, you may experience important disruptions in your one-to-one relationships: perhaps a husband/wife suddenly wants their freedom or a business partner starts to act in a strange manner that may create some temporary distance between you and them. It may also be that you are the one who wants to break free from these people! (Uranus transiting your seventh natural house)

With Pluto squaring your Sun those of you who were born between September 28th and October 1st may have to undergo some major transformations. Having to make a radical change of home basis or to experience a similar change within your family is a distinct possibility (Pluto transiting your fourth natural house). What you need to remember is that whatever happens this year is ultimately for the best and that sometimes the best way to deal with change is to go along with it rather than resisting it.

With Saturn in conjunction with your Sun until October 5th for those of you were born between the 15th and the 23rd of October, some important burden may be assigned on your shoulders. Receiving a promotion or new responsibilities at work; having to take care of your parents because of old age or becoming a parent yourself; getting a mortgage, getting married or achieving higher prestige; these are only few of the things that might occur until October 5th. In any case, this is a time where you reap the fruits of your labour, which implies that the wiser you’ve been in the past years, the more positive this time will feel.

On an even more positive note, those of you who were born between September 23rd and October 7th will have Jupiter in trine with your Sun from June 11th onwards, which may bring luck in many of your endeavours, as well as the desire to expand your horizons, to study a new discipline and to travel and meet people who could benefit your personal development in the long run.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

With Mars transiting your sign until July 3rd 2012, many of you may be full of energy and willing to do many things that aim to grant you greater autonomy and independence. However, energy levels may not be as high from January 24th until April 14th because of Mars’ retrograde motion: taking a step back and examining what you have conquered and what’s still left to be conquered may be in order. Quite differently, Mars transiting your sign can also make you quite edgy, argumentative or prone to explosions of anger! The reason may be related to some important person in your life, be it a husband/wife, a romantic partner or a business associate, who may be acting in irritating ways. Such one-to-one relationships will thus come into focus and make you think whether you really want to preserve them or whether you want to burn those bridges once and for all.

These considerations may be particularly salient during Venus’ transit through Gemini from April 3rd until August 7th, during which period your parents, especially the mother, may become somehow involved in the disputes mentioned above, while it may also be that issues related to your professional situation will provide one more reason to fight with your partners or business associates. Nevertheless, valuing communication (Venus in Gemini) may actually help resolve any conflicts that arise or have already arisen (Mars opposing your natural seventh house).

On the other hand, with Jupiter transiting your ninth natural house until June 11th you will probably feel prompted to expand your mental horizons; to study a new discipline; to travel and read more about other cultures, philosophies and religions. Furthermore, if you are in trouble with the law, Jupiter’s ninth house transit may mean that judges and lawyers will be in your favour. From June 11th onwards Jupiter will be in your tenth natural house, which may bring a time where you encounter luck in career-related issues; this could translate in an improvement of your current job or in a new job altogether. Care is needed though for those born between August 23rd and September 7th, because with Jupiter squaring your Sun for the last six months of the year you may feel overly optimistic about your capacities and thus take on more than you can handle. Finally, with Mercury transiting your sign all of you may receive an important piece of good news any time between the 1st and the 16th of September.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

This year will probably be a fairly good year for you, although those of you who were born between July 23rd and August 1st will start to feel particularly pressurized because of Saturn squaring your Sun from October 5th onwards. Let’s start from the beginning though. The first six months of 2012 will be marked by Jupiter’s transit through your tenth natural house. This may bring a time where you encounter luck in career-related issues; this could translate in an improvement of your current job or in a new job altogether. Finding a job abroad or increasing your professional contacts abroad is a further possibility. Receiving benefits from your parents, the mother in particular, or from employers and other authority figures is also possible. Care is needed though because with Jupiter squaring your Sun for the first six months of the year you may feel overly optimistic about your capacities and thus take on more than you can handle; being overindulgent and wasting money are further possibilities you need to watch out for.

From June 11th onwards Jupiter will be in your eleventh natural house, which may bring a busier social life and the desire to meet more people and make new friends! This could also be a time where you decide to become a member of a club, organization, committee, political party or humanitarian enterprise. Becoming a volunteer for some worthy cause is a further possibility. This might even be a time where you are luckily recommended for promotion while you may encounter many opportunities to achieve happiness in life and fulfill your dreams. With Uranus in trine with your Sun such opportunities may come quite unexpectedly for those of you who were born between July 23rd and August 1st. The energies of Uranus may thus give you the necessary push to make the change that you have always wanted to make so as to come one step closer to your purpose in life, which can make for quite an exciting time!

Nevertheless, with Saturn being in your fourth house from October 5th onwards you may encounter difficulties at home or in your family. At the very least this transit will probably mark a time where you will need to work hard in order to achieve a sense of security or in order to attain family- or home-related goals. This will be particularly relevant for those of you who were born between July 23rd and August 1st.
