New Moon in Libra: Balance is Costly!

On September 25, 2022, at 10:54pm, GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in the airy, harmonious and diplomatic sign of Libra. Like every New Moon, this one invites us to make a fresh start in that area of one's horoscope where it happens to fall. Of course, with seven planets retrograde (including Chiron), rather than being a new beginning, this New Moon seems more like pushing us towards settling a number of issues that have kept us occupied in recent weeks or that may even be pending since last May or June.

With Venus, the New Moon’s dispositor, in her fall sign (Virgo) and conjunct Mercury retrograde from the degree of her pure fall, the issues that are pending or in need of settlement concern relationships, partnerships and relatives and may foster a belligerent or stressful climate and have damaging economic ramifications.

It is clear, however, that a major motivation of this New Moon in Libra is the achievement of greater harmony and balance through growth, renewal or broadening of our horizons (Lights opposing Jupiter). Travel, study and contact with people from abroad, the law or even the church will have a role to play in the intended growth and renewal. A prerequisite for development, however, is a major reform, which may mean voluntarily getting rid of things and structures that no longer work (Lights in sesquisquares with Saturn-Uranus).

If one is willing to pay, literally or figuratively, the significant cost of the required reform, then one may see relationships and partnerships resurrected or reborn from their ashes (Venus and Mercury trine Pluto). So then, what reforms are you willing to undertake and at what cost?
