New Moon in Pisces: Final Curtain

On February 20, 2023, at 7:05am, GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in the watery, romantic and sensitive sign of Pisces. Like every New Moon, this one too calls for us to make a fresh start in that area of one's horoscope where it happens to occur. Due to the sign’s nature, favoured are those beginnings that, among other things, have to do with dreams, ideals and relaxation, as well as short or long escapes. Let us not forget, of course, that Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and, thus, favours endings rather than beginnings. This is highlighted not only by the anaeretic degrees of Venus and Pluto, but also by the fact that Mars activates the upcoming eclipse of April 20, 2023.

Although we will go into more detail when the time comes, suffice it to say here that the April 20 eclipse initiates the array of eclipses that will take place across the Aries-Libra axis and raises the question of almost forced transformation or radical change in the lives of many. Therefore, the present New Moon comes in to assist us in the effort to prepare for the important chapter that opens in our lives as we approach the eclipse of April 20. This way, the New Moon will help us to get rid of burdens, limitations or responsibilities of the past that have been pending until now (New Moon in separating conjunction with Saturn).

This may mean that weak relationships and partnerships will have to be dissolved (Venus sextile Pluto in anaeretic degrees, Lights = Neptune/North Node) so that the opportunity arises for new relationships and partnerships to grow (Venus about to enter Aries). Strong relationships, however, will be able to rise from the ‘ashes’ as long as the partners are willing to change their values and desires. Finally, despite unforeseen obstacles, the New Moon promises quick healing of wounds or traumas that may have been caused in the meantime on a mental and physical level (Mercury in a square with Uranus and in a trine with Mars, which is sextiled by Jupiter-Chiron). What wounds, then, do you intend to heal and which relationships to resurrect?
