Mercury in Pisces in Relation to Our Zodiac Sign – Part II

In my previous post I talked about how each zodiac sign from Pisces through to Libra are expected to incorporate the energies of Mercury retrograde in Pisces. Following from that, I will now discuss how the rest of the signs, that is, Virgo through to Aries, are expected to incorporate these energies. I remind you that Mercury will turn retrograde on March 23^rd and won't go back into direct motion until April 3^rd. Mercury, though, will be in direct motion in the same sign from February 15^th to March 2^nd and from April 3^rd to April 16^th, which means that our communications, transportations and commercial dealings will be pretty much emotional, imaginative and rather vague and confusing in the majority of the time between February 15^th and April 16^th. Furthermore, the areas of life that will be affected by this Mercurian transit will be the same for most of the time between February 15^th and April 16^th. These areas are explained in more detail below for each zodiac sign.

Each paragraph is devoted to a different sign, Virgo coming first, Leo second, Cancer third, and so on. If you’re not quite sure under which zodiac sign you were born, you will notice the start and end dates of each sign being depicted in brackets next to the name of the corresponding sign. Please also note the following two things: a) If you’re born on the cusp between two adjacent zodiac signs (e.g., April 20^th, which would be the end of Aries and the beginning of Taurus), you might find it useful to read both signs and b) you might find it equally useful to read the sign of your Ascendant as well. For example, someone who was born on May 21^st and has Scorpio ascending (like me!) would get more out of reading the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Scorpio.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Transiting your seventh natural house, which has to do with one-to-one relationships, husbands and wives, partnerships, litigations, open enemies, and the public, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues or the people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in communications with love partners, spouses, business partners and clients, as well as with lawyers and judges, but you may also have unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with these same people. You may even be motivated to show an extraordinary degree of imagination in communications and transactions with any of the people mentioned above. On a more psychological level, you may notice an unusual motivation to discount or disown your personal intelligence, ideas and opinions, as well as your need to be understood, which may result in recognizing, admiring and respecting these qualities in others. You may, however, show some resistance before you can actually get yourself to truly understand and appreciate the opinions and intelligence of others!

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Transiting your eighth natural house, which is related to intimate relationships, shared resources and joint finances or money belonging to others, such as taxes, loans, debts, inheritances, joint bank accounts and insurance policies, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues above. For instance, you may receive a loan or inheritance later than expected or there may be endless confusion and misunderstandings regarding the payment of taxes, debts and banking or insurance fees. Another possibility is that you come up with unusually imaginative ideas in order to borrow money, to get an insurance policy or to open a joint bank account! It may further be that you experience misunderstandings or hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with your intimate partners or with any people that deal with money, such as tax officers and bankers. On a more psychological level, you may notice an unusual motivation to analyse deeply-held behaviour patterns and complexes or to deepen your knowledge related to art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Transiting your ninth natural house, which has to do with higher learning and education, universities and professors, foreign people and countries, long journeys, publications and in-laws, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your university studies and long journeys, as well as in your communications with students, professors, foreigners, publishers and in-laws. However, you may also experience unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with these same people. You may even be motivated to evince an unusual degree of imagination in your communications and transactions with the people mentioned above. You may also have an unusual motivation to expand your mental horizons by learning, thinking or talking about art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things. On a more psychological level, it seems that you will look for wisdom and meaning in ideas, communications and transactions that are slow and reflective or unusually emotional and compassionate!

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Transiting your tenth natural house, which has to do with parents and grandparents (usually the mother and grandmother), job, career, public life and image, and relationships with bosses, employers and authority figures, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications with parents, especially the mother, and in job-related transactions and conversations. On the other hand, it may be a time where you experience an unusual need to find out or to talk about things concerning your parents and employers, as well as your public life and reputation. You may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with or about your boss, the mother or other family members, while you may be motivated to evince an extraordinary degree of imagination at work. On a more psychological level, it appears that you will feel regarded as important when taking your time to ponder and reflect or when talking about art, dreams, magic, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Transiting your eleventh natural house, which has to do with friends and social life, groups and organisations, humanitarian enterprises and political groups, community involvement and volunteerism, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues and people mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications with friends or in your humanitarian, political, community and volunteering activities. You may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with friends and groups you belong to or you may be equally motivated to evince an unusual degree of imagination in your communications with them and in any related activities. Another possibility is that you get promoted following an unusually compassionate recommendation of others! On a more psychological level, you may notice an unusual motivation to talk with friends and groups that are somehow related to arts, dreams, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things. You may, however, have to face some delays and setbacks before you can gain a sense of belonging and identification with such friends and groups.

Aries (March 20 – April 19)

Transiting your twelfth natural house, which has to do with compassion and charity work, behind the scenes activity, hospitals, retreats, as well as with resting, taking days off and escaping daily routines, Mercury retrograde in Pisces may reflect delays and setbacks, but also unusually emotional, albeit vague, communications, and highly imaginative ideas in relation to the issues mentioned above. For instance, you may experience endless confusion and misunderstandings in your communications and transactions with doctors and people who work at hospitals or any kind of retreat and institution, but you may also hold unusually emotional and compassionate conversations with these same people. You may even be motivated to evince an extraordinary degree of imagination in doing charity work or in planning your holidays! There may also be delays and setbacks related to your holidays or to activities that take place behind the scenes and thus affect you only indirectly. On a more psychological level, you may go through a period where you experience an unusual motivation to escape daily life and routines by learning and discussing more about art, dreams, religion, spirituality, life after death and the interconnectedness of all things.
