Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius: How Far Can You Go?

On December 4, 2021, at 7:43am, GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in Sagittarius, which is also a solar eclipse. This eclipse is of paramount importance because it is not only the last of the year but also the last that takes place across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis for years to come. It symbolizes, therefore, the gradual closure of a chapter that has concerned us at least since June 2020, when the first eclipse took place across the same axis. Given that the current eclipse occurs in a conjunction with out-of-bounds Mercury, this chapter is about communications, travels, trade and educational activities that had gone awry throughout the previous period due to the pandemic. Of course, the period of influence of an eclipse generally lasts until the next eclipse season, which includes the eclipses of April 30 and May 16, 2022. Thus, it will be at least until then that we will continue to see the results of this eclipse.

More specifically, a solar eclipse refers to the urgent need for a new beginning in matters concerning our identity, professional or not, our creativity and our relationship with important men, such as father, husband or partner. Due to the sign (Sagittarius), the new beginning may arise from the need to broaden our professional horizons, develop our creativity and improve relationships with the above people. Although we will want to go as far as possible and to grow as much as possible, the Mercury-Neptune square requires our attention because it blurs the water and causes confusion, disorientation or even frustration.

Combined with the fact that Neptune has just turned direct, after a retrograde course of about five months, imagination and romantic ideals may be exceedingly high, so when reality hits, the impact can be all the more harsher. And with out-of-bounds Venus in Capricorn conjunct Pluto not seeming particularly ‘forgiving’, we would recommend any plans or steps for development that one wants to take, to be thoroughly studied and for there to be a plan B. In any case, the reactivation of the Saturn-Uranus square, which we have oftentimes called 'Deconstruction and Reform', re-emphasizes the need to change habits, break with the past and move on to ‘strange’ paths. Will you, therefore, choose to walk the main road or the road less traveled?
