2013 Predictions – Part III

Following from my previous post, this one too will focus on some of the insights that we can get from the stars regarding the ways in which 2013 will unfold in relation to our zodiac sign. Following the tradition of my blog related to starting from Pisces and moving clockwise in the zodiac, this post will cover Virgo, Leo and Cancer whereas the next one will cover Gemini, Taurus and Aries. The main astrological indicators that I will focus on are the transits of Jupiter and Saturn, although I will take into account transits of the faster moving planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) as well as those of the slower moving planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Jupiter will remain in the sign of Gemini until June 26th 2013 and will then move to Cancer where it will stay until June next year. On the other hand, Saturn will remain in Scorpio for the whole year. Concerning the slower moving planets, Pluto and Uranus will remain in Capricorn and Aries, respectively, whereas Neptune will be in its natural ‘habitat’, that is, Pisces.

If, as I suspect, you’re only interested to read about your personal zodiac sign (or the sign of your loves ones), please scroll down until you find it. Each paragraph is devoted to a different sign, Virgo coming first, Leo second, and so on. If you’re not quite sure under which zodiac sign you were born, you will notice the start and end dates of each sign being depicted in brackets next to the name of the corresponding sign. Please also note the following two things: a) If you were born on the cusp between two adjacent zodiac signs (e.g., April 20th, which would be the end of Aries and the beginning of Taurus), you might find it useful to read both signs and b) you might find it equally useful to read the sign of your Ascendant as well. For example, someone who was born on May 21st and has Scorpio ascending (like me!) would get more out of reading the signs of Taurus, Gemini and Scorpio.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

With Jupiter in your tenth solar house until June 26, you are the most fortunate of the zodiac in terms of career opportunities but not only. The transit of Jupiter, which is the planet of luck and growth, through a sign that is in natural conflict with your own (i.e., the sign of Gemini), is one of the transits you can take advantage of as long as you manage to limit a certain tendency towards excess, arrogance and over-optimism. Although Jupiter does not provide solutions to all your problems, it does open doors. The doors will lead you to things, situations and people you might never have imagined that you could have in your life. Those of you born in the first half of the sign (i.e. 23 August-7 September) have already felt Jupiter’s help in terms of career during the second semester of 2012. The rest of the sign of Virgo will gradually feel Jupiter’s help during the first semester of 2013, especially from mid-April to late June.

Therefore, the first six months of 2013 is a period of significant, though perhaps hasty, development where job opportunities will come your way almost without you having to seek them out. These can signal social advancement, increased reputation and professional recognition and will help you see the world with greater optimism and appetite for new adventures. This is because Jupiter’s influence is liberating: it breaks the shackles that may have imprisoned you in a job or situation that was stagnant and thus helps you spread your wings and fly. It is almost certain that with Jupiter in your tenth solar house you will have plenty of luck and advancement in your career as well as in issues related to your parents, especially the mother. Because in the case of Virgo Jupiter rules both the house as well as the area of relationships, marriage and business partnerships, it is very likely you will be given a relevant gift such as a wedding, a very good business partnership, a lucky move, a house purchase, moving in with your love partner or getting a job you’ve always wanted.

Especially for those of you born August 24-27 Neptune in your seventh solar house promises the perfect love match; just do not let it fool you, because "all that glitters is not gold." Irritation due to delays or misunderstandings in personal matters as well as in matters of marriage and business partnerships should be expected because of Mercury turning retrograde in Pisces from February 23 until March 17. Patience will be needed until April 6 before you can put an end to some of these delays and misunderstandings. The May 25 lunar eclipse will take place in Sagittarius, will activate Neptune and will bring some emotional climax in relation to your home, family and career; the simultaneous triple conjunction of Mercury-Venus-Jupiter in your tenth solar house shows that this emotional climax may be associated with a very good business deal that may be signed though in secret. Finally, Jupiter will enter the sign of Cancer on June 26 to stay there until the end of the year and will open up your circle of friends and help you make an important dream of yours come true.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

With Saturn in a sign that is in natural conflict with your own, this year is expected to be very important, though not necessarily easy, especially for those of you born from July 27 to August 12. Given that Saturn is associated with industriousness, method, discipline and seriousness, you will be asked to demonstrate these qualities, which is something that you may consider as a lot of pressure. While in your fourth solar house, Saturn will highlight your household and family obligations or requirements that your parents have from you; you'll have to respond effectively to these obligations and requirements and you'll thus have to make significant and perhaps painful cuts in your life; in doing so, you'll remove those elements that no longer serve any purpose for you. Therefore, with Saturn in square aspect to your sign, you'll be asked to detach yourself from habits of the past that are no longer related to your current needs. Among other things, this may mean that you'll have to make some budget cuts, although these may be done in order for you to fulfill some important dream of yours, as Jupiter in your eleventh solar house reveals. Probably a goal you set for your personal happiness around June 2012 will begin to bear fruit from early February 2013 onwards and will probably be finalized by the end of June 2013.

In any case, Saturn in your fourth solar house is associated with significant responsibilities regarding either your parents or your family and actual home. More specifically, a new baby may be on the way and you will thus need to perform a complete overhaul at home so as to suit the needs of the new family member. It may also be that one of the two parents is ill, so you have to spend a lot of time looking after them or being worried about them. Another possibility is that works need to be done at home either because the house is old and things break down often or because you are buying a new house and decide to customize it to your personal needs. Nevertheless, time spent at home meeting your family obligations will definitely reduce the time you can spend at work, which can lead to more days off but also to more conflicts with your boss. Importantly, however, there is also the possibility of working from home if your job allows it or retiring if you are at that stage in your life.

One of the most fun times of year will be the period from June 27 until July 22 when Venus will be in your sign and you’ll want to indulge in love affairs, outings, dining, and socializing. Simultaneously, however, retrograde Mercury in Cancer will bring delays or misunderstandings regarding your holidays. Provided you are prepared to deal with some setbacks in whatever you plan for your holidays this summer, you'll have a good time, especially if you go to places you have already visited in the past. Also, the lunar eclipse on April 25 and the solar ones on May 10 and November 3 will mark the climax of processes and emotional tensions associated with home, family, parents, and career. Finally, Jupiter will enter the sign of Cancer on June 26 to stay there until the end of the year and will increase your need for taking days off and getting away from it all.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

With Pluto opposite your sign and Uranus in a sign that is in natural conflict with yours for more than a year now, this year is expected quite challenging for you! The Uranus-Pluto square, which most strongly affects those of you born from June 25 to July 3, will mark a series of radical changes related to important areas of your life such as your career, your social position, your marriage or your relationship with a romantic or business partner. More specifically, with Pluto in the sign opposite your own a significant person in your life such as your partner may want to radically change their relationship with you. In this case, the positive scenario would be that this way you two manage to consolidate your relationship and deepen the bond between the two of you. The negative scenario, however, would be that your relationship or marriage has come to such a quagmire that will have to be terminated.

In any case, with Uranus in square aspect from your tenth solar house, developments in the relationship with your partner will radically change your professional plans for better or for worse. But it may also be the other way around: namely, changes related to your career will entail radical changes within your marriage or relationship with a partner or business associate. These events will create opportunities for you to get much closer to fulfilling your purpose in life even if this happens with great intensity and emotional upheaval. The bottom line is that you are moving away from things, people or situations that you were used to in the past. If you experience the upcoming and perhaps dramatic changes in a rather negative way, then remember that the more you resist, the more difficult it is to adapt to them. But even if you see the upcoming changes as a good thing, remember that it takes time to digest the new reality. Dates near which these changes will culminate are May 21 and November 1.

The period from June 3 to 26 is expected to be very positive because then Venus will be in your sign and you will want to indulge in love affairs, outings, dining, and socializing. But you will have your share of nerves right after that period, that is from June 26 to July 20, especially those of you born July 5-15. The reason will be related to significant delays or misunderstandings that Mercury retrograde will bring regarding personal issues as well as issues related to your marriage, partner or some business associate. Patience will be required until August 4 before you can put an end to some of these delays and misunderstandings. Moreover, Jupiter will enter your sign on June 26 to stay there until the end of the year. This transit will renew your outer appearance, will give you plenty more opportunities for autonomy and will increase your desire to raise a family. Therefore, you may already start to anticipate Jupiter’s transit though your sign because what you most crave in life, that is, raising a family or extending the one you already got, may become a reality in the second semester of 2013. Finally, the October 18 lunar eclipse will be in square aspect to your sign and will mainly affect those born around July 17; this may bring some emotional climax in relation to your career that will directly affect the relationship with your parents or your family.
