Solar Eclipse in Taurus: Do Not Be Afraid of Change!

On April 30, 2022, at 8:28 pm GMT, there is a New Moon taking place in Taurus, which is also a solar eclipse, the first of the year. Although, traditionally, people have feared eclipses for considering them as bad omens, it is good to realize that eclipses, especially solar ones, mark the beginning or the end of very important chapters in our lives. However, because the Sun’s light is missing, a solar eclipse is very likely to be experienced as a kind of shortage that spurs us into action regarding solar issues, such as our identity, creativity, purpose in life or relationship with important male figures, for example father, spouse, partner or employer. Due to the zodiac sign where the eclipse occurs, this sense of shortage will be related to our material security and our ability to settle down and establish relationships or situations. Thus, material insecurity, as well as fear of change, may be among the issues one has to address at present.

Therefore, is it maybe high time one faced their fear of change and dared to do something radically different or subversive in terms of their professional identity, creativity or relationship with important male figures? After all, the eclipse takes place with the Lights conjunct Uranus, an aspect that emphasizes a deep need to free oneself from the shackles of the past, despite the insecurity entailed. The sextiles that Mars in Pisces forms with both the Lights and Uranus will give us opportunities to act flexibly and in faith that it will all be for the best in the end.

The eclipse’s dispositor, Venus, will also be of help, being as it is at the degree of her pure exaltation and in full support by Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury and Pluto. Therefore, the new chapter marked by this eclipse exalts the need for beauty, peace and harmony, all values that one can only achieve if they are willing to radically change the way they think (Mercury-Pluto). So, will you dare a change or will you be afraid to?
