Full Moon in Virgo: Shall I work or shall I rest?

Today at 8:28pm, GMT, there is a Full Moon on the 7^th degree of Virgo, which is one of the two zodiac signs ruled by Mercury and related to service, work, everyday life and perfectionism. With four planets in Pisces, Mercury in retrograde included, we could say that this Full Moon is trying to bring us back to reality without really succeeding. It seems that we are all in a ‘trance’ with a strong tendency to escape reality, which probably means that the Full Moon will bring about feelings of guilt for not being able to deal effectively with issues related to Virgo such as work, health, fitness and nutrition. The Piscean imagination and will to escape invites us to get away from the routine of our work and the way we usually take care of our day to day responsibilities by doing things with more imagination and less adherence to rules and high standards than usual (this post definitely attests to what I’m saying here!).

Πανσέληνος στην Παρθένο: Να δουλέψω ή να ξεκουραστώ;

Σήμερα στις 22:28 πραγματοποιείται Πανσέληνος στην 7^η μοίρα της Παρθένου, που είναι το ένα από τα δύο ζώδια που κυβερνά ο Ερμής και που σχετίζεται με την υπηρεσία, την εργασία, την καθημερινότητα και την τελειομανία. Με τέσσερις πλανήτες όμως στους Ιχθύς μεταξύ των οποίων και ο Ερμής ο οποίος έχει ήδη αρχίσει την ανάδρομη πορεία του, θα λέγαμε ότι αυτή η Πανσέληνος προσπαθεί να μας γειώσει στην πραγματικότητα χωρίς όμως ακριβώς να το καταφέρνει. Φαίνεται όλοι μας να έχουμε μια διάθεση φυγής και απόδρασης από την πραγματικότητα με αποτέλεσμα η Πανσέληνος αυτή να βγάλει πιθανώς γκρίνια ή και ενοχές για το ότι δεν καταφέρνουμε να ασχοληθούμε αποτελεσματικά με θέματα Παρθενίσια, δηλαδή με την εργασία, την υγεία, τη γυμναστική και τη διατροφή μας. Η φαντασία και η διάθεση φυγής των πλανητών στους Ιχθύς μας καλούν να ξεφύγουμε λίγο από τη ρουτίνα της εργασίας και τον τρόπο που συνήθως φέρνουμε βόλτα τα της καθημερινότητάς μας ώστε να επιτελέσουμε τις υποχρεώσεις μας με περισσότερη φαντασία και λιγότερη εμμονή σε κανόνες και υψηλά στάνταρντ από ό,τι συνήθως (όπως μαρτυρά και η παρούσα ανάρτηση!!). 

New Moon in Aquarius: Settling outstanding issues from the past!

On February 10^th at 7:20 am, GMT, there is a New Moon on the 21^st degree of Aquarius. Although each New Moon favours new beginnings in specific areas of our lives, this New Moon seems to function quite differently. And how could it be any different given that the zodiac sign of Aquarius is the sign of diversity and originality? One clue indicating originality is that this New Moon does not receive any basic aspects from any planet. Therefore, we may suggest that the new beginning that we want to make at this New Moon will have to wait. Instead of seeing external events happen, we will rather focus on growing internally and working on the ideas that we want to put into practice in the near future. The second clue indicating originality is related to the fact that Mercury in Pisces has already entered its shadow phase. This means that Mercury is about to begin its retrograde period (which will start on February 23^rd) and is thus in the same position where it will be when it turns back into direct motion on March 17^th. So, instead of a new beginning, this New Moon seems to promise us the opportunity to settle outstanding issues from the past; nevertheless, we won’t be able to fully settle these issues until after March 17^th.

Νέα Σελήνη στον Υδροχόο: Τακτοποίηση εκκρεμοτήτων!

Στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου και ώρα 9:20 το πρωί πραγματοποιείται Νέα Σελήνη στην 21^η μοίρα του Υδροχόου. Αν και σε κάθε Νέα Σελήνη ευνοούνται νέα ξεκινήματα σε συγκεκριμένους τομείς της ζωής μας, η παρούσα Νέα Σελήνη φαίνεται να λειτουργεί αρκετά διαφορετικά. Και πώς να μην ήταν έτσι αφού γίνεται στο ζώδιο του Υδροχόου που είναι το ζώδιο της διαφορετικότητας και της πρωτοτυπίας; Το ένα στοιχείο που μαρτυρεί διαφορετικότητα είναι ότι αυτή η Νέα Σελήνη δε δέχεται καμία βασική όψη από κανέναν πλανήτη. Μπορούμε λοιπόν να πούμε ότι η καινούρια αρχή που επιθυμούμε να κάνουμε δεν μπορεί ακόμη να υλοποιηθεί. Άρα, αντί να δούμε εξωτερικά γεγονότα να συμβαίνουν, μάλλον θα δώσουμε έμφαση στην εσωτερική ανάπτυξη και στην ωρίμανση των ιδεών που θέλουμε να θέσουμε σε εφαρμογή στο κοντινό μέλλον. Το δεύτερο στοιχείο που μαρτυρεί την πρωτοτυπία αυτής της Νέας Σελήνης είναι ότι πραγματοποιείται με τον Ερμή στους Ιχθύς να έχει ήδη μπει στη σκιά του. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι ο Ερμής προετοιμάζεται για την αναδρομή του (που θα αρχίσει στις 23 Φεβρουαρίου) και βρίσκεται στην ίδια μοίρα όπου θα βρίσκεται όταν πλέον ορθοδρομήσει στις 17 Μαρτίου. Έτσι λοιπόν αυτή η Νέα Σελήνη αντί για καινούρια αρχή φαίνεται να υπόσχεται τακτοποίηση εκκρεμοτήτων από το παρελθόν, που όμως θα ολοκληρωθεί μετά τις 17 Μαρτίου.

2013 Predictions – Part IV

Following from my previous post, this one will be the last one to focus on some of the insights that we can get from the stars regarding the ways in which 2013 will unfold in relation to our zodiac sign. Following the tradition of my blog related to starting from Pisces and moving clockwise in the zodiac, this post will cover Gemini, Taurus and Aries. The main astrological indicators that I will focus on are the transits of Jupiter and Saturn, although I will take into account transits of the faster moving planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) as well as those of the slower moving planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Jupiter will remain in the sign of Gemini until June 26th 2013 and will then move to Cancer where it will stay until June next year. On the other hand, Saturn will remain in Scorpio for the whole year. Concerning the slower moving planets, Pluto and Uranus will remain in Capricorn and Aries, respectively, whereas Neptune will be in its natural ‘habitat’, that is, Pisces.
